The Incredible Machine
There are two sessions, at 11.00am – 12.30pm and at 2.00pm – 3.30pm.
The Incredible Machine is a creation from William Heath Robinson’s admirer and namesake, Richard Robinson, who has taken it the length and breadth of the UK. It arrives as a collection of blocks, strings, pulleys, ramps and cans of luncheon meat, and is turned, by whoever comes along, into a machine that sends a signal all round the room. There is no wrong way to do it; there are a million right ways – always different, always surprising. Suitable for all ages, and their parents, and grandparents.
Richard Robinson runs the Brighton Science Festival, where the Incredible Machine regularly contributes to the fun.
